Today was a rather long day. We spent about 11 hours touring Caesarea of Phillippi, the Sea of Galilee, and Capernaum. We started at the Sea of Galilee and visited a monastery that is one of the possible locations for where Jesus fed the 5,000. From there we headed to various other historical sites, my favorite being Capernaum.
In Capernaum got to walk in the ruins of the Synagogue. That was archealogically amazing! We also saw what is claimed to be "Peter's House". This claim is based on early Christian drawings found inside the house, which is rather large compared to the average house in Capernaum (remember Pete was a rich fisherman and had some dough to his name).
Lunch today was at the St. Peter's fish place. I ordered spegetti. No fish for me!
I'm extremely tired right now, I'm off to bed. More tomorrow.
